OUR STORY
Facing declining health and a host of medical issues, Aarushi decided to change her lifestyle and moved to the family's farm.
The farm's clean air, natural groundwater, serene environment and organically grown food led to a massive improvement in her health. Fighting against convention and trying to grow everything organically, she found answers, among other things, in Vrikshya-Ayurveda.
Since 2011, the entire production and processing process is carried out using traditional Indian agriculture practices, such as grinding turmeric on stone, in order to preserve natural nutrients and flavour.
While planting our trees and crops, we were often told that using fertilizers and pesticides would increase our plant yields by 10x.
We decided to produce low-quantity high-quality organic food, the same food we ourselves consume.
We believe in providing quality first and foremost and see that as our unique selling point. Compared to other organic food companies, who carry organic "aggregator" certificates but not organic "grower" or "processor" certificates, we are in the process of getting our Indian organic grower and processor certifications.
As is ascertainable, we grow and process all our produce on our farms.
To ensure quality, there is no outsourcing or aggregation, and at no stage are we involving any other farm or farmer.
Our farms are located within the Western Ghats, on the coast of the Arabian Sea. Western Ghats are notified as a UNESCO world heritage site, thereby ensuring minimal construction, infrastructure, and pollution. (https://whc.unesco.org/en/list/1342)
